Thong / Braid / Body / (Thong): The body of a whip is the entire leather braided part. It must be in a straight conical shape and resistant to impact.
Butt Knot: This is a decorative section usually completed with a turkshead knot. Depending on the whip, this knob can be made in a variety of sizes to help properly distribute the weight of the whip. Mostly, this part is held in the palm of the hand by professional users during the blowing phase and a controlled cracking is carried out.
Handle: It is the part made on a hard shaft, wood or durable material in order to accelerate the whip depending on its length. While the handle part is flexible in our whips under 1 meter, it varies between 20cm and 30cm in our whips over 1 meter, depending on the length of the whip.
Tail Knot (Fall Hitch): This part is the point where the body ends. To make it more durable, it is completed by making a stitched finishing knot with waxed thread and a second finishing knot with leather (whip knots) on top. ( If this part is damaged, you will need to send the whip for repair. There is no repair fee for the products we make. You only need to pay the shipping fee ).
Tail (Fall): This part is made of thick calfskin. Although it is impact resistant, it softens and gets damaged over time depending on your use. When you notice that it is starting to soften, you can care for the leather with materials such as leather hardener or wax, or send it to us for replacement. Since it is possible to make this part with different materials, you can also get support from us on how you can change it with your own possibilities.
Tail Braid (Popper): This part of your whip is the most easily damaged and is very easy to replace. It is the only non-essential part of a whip, but is not required in a process such as Cracking.
