Furoshiki

Furoshiki (風呂敷) are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths used for carrying clothes, gifts, and similar items. Furoshiki were first used in traditional Japanese baths in the mid-Nara period. To prevent bathers' belongings from getting mixed up, the clothes they took off were tied together with Furoshiki.

Tradition-bound Shibari Furoshiki is still widely used by those interested to carry and store ropes. Furoshiki can be used in many areas of daily life, such as bags, bundles, hair bands, gift packages, coffee table covers, etc. It can be produced in many sizes and fabric types.
