How to Take Measurements for Bondage & Fetish Accessories and Collars?

This short guide will detail how to take your body measurements. All of our custom-made products, such as bracelets, collars, and harnesses, need to fit perfectly and be comfortable.

Let's quickly review how to measure your body for everything you might need. These measurements will come in handy when you're shopping. Before we begin:

  • Make sure that the tape measure is not stretched. (If you do not have a tape measure, you can do this with a rope and a ruler. After taking the measurement with the rope, you can find the length of the rope with the ruler.)
  • To ensure accurate measurements, measure both wrists, ankles, legs, etc. (Sometimes they don't match!)

How to Measure Arm Length?

There are two key points to consider when measuring arm length.

First, care should be taken to keep the elbow straight during measurement. Bending the elbow, for example, will result in a shorter-than-normal arm measurement.
Secondly, it's important to start measuring from the highest point of the shoulder and take measurements down to the base of the wrist. Starting from the middle of the shoulder will result in taking fewer measurements than usual.

How to Measure Waist?

When measuring your waist, the belly button can be used as a measure. The most ideal waist measurement is taken below the belly button. Care should be taken to ensure that the measuring device does not slip when moving it around your waist and to your back. If the tape measure is not aligned, it may result in a thicker waist measurement than normal. A mirror can be used to make sure that the front and back are parallel or someone can help you.

How to Take Hip Measurements?

To accurately measure your hips, first bring your knees together and keep your feet slightly apart. Bringing your feet completely together will result in inaccurate measurements. A natural, upright posture is the most important detail for taking all body measurements.

Hip measurement should be taken at the widest point of the hip area. Ensure the measuring device is held correctly, starting from the zero point, and that it tightly encircles the entire hip. For the most ideal measurement process, you can ask someone else to help. Taking your own measurements can be difficult, but it is possible.

How to Measure Leg Length?

The measurement of leg length is stated as the measurement from the pelvic bone to the protrusion of the ankle bone. Since it may be difficult to measure the entire leg at once when measuring yourself, you can first measure up to the knee. Then, these values can be added up by measuring from the knee to the ankle.

How to Take Breast Measurements?

Body size, is measured from the line just under the chest. This line is wrapped with a tape measure chest body size It is very important to hold the tape measure in a way that does not pinch the skin to obtain accurate results.

How to Take Neck Measurements?

Keep your neck straight while looking at a point in front of you. You can measure the neck circumference with your tape measure from the point at the lower border of the larynx (Adam's apple).

How to Measure Wrist?

Wrap the tape measure, string or strip of paper around your wrist and mark the point where the two ends meet with a pencil. Then measure the area you marked on the tape measure or paper with a millimetric (mm) ruler. The value you find by measuring will give you your wrist size.

How to Measure Upper Leg?

Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart. You can measure your upper leg circumference using a tape measure from the midpoint between your hipbone and kneebone.

How to Take Shoulder Measurements?

Again, while standing upright, take the measurement by wrapping the tape measure or string around the most vertical points of your shoulders. Chest: While standing upright, after exhaling, take the measurement by wrapping the tape measure or string around your entire torso, over your nipples.
