1) General Rules

ShibariTurkey is not interested in the sexual identities and preferences , religions , political views , races , bodies and beliefs

Participants who want to take or record images during our activities, events and workshops can only do so by obtaining the consent of the individuals. Sharing of these images on social media or other channels should be done with the consent of individuals and individuals should be informed beforehand.

ShibariTurkey examines applications to participate in any event one by one to create a safe area. Anyone who violates the rules may choose to resort to procedures such as not admitting them to events, requesting if incomplete information is provided, or reviewing their social media profiles.

2) Workshop, Training, Practice Ethics and Rules

ShibariTurkey does not contain anything other than rope and unrelated to rope , nudity, body autonomy and consent are our basic foundations and principles. In our events and workshops, age limits determined by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye apply.

ShibariTurkey considers it its duty to inform and equip its participants about completely traditional and erotic binding arts and their social, cultural and even economic reflections, and to convey the history of shibari to everyone who wants to learn. does not allow any sexual activities or Play

Respect body autonomy

You can choose your partner to work together during our events and workshops by asking people and asking for their consent, and you can request help from ShibariTurkey Team Manager to negotiate before the work. Team Manager will inform you about working rules, tools and security measures that you can use with your colleague and will create a comfortable working environment.

Give Space

When people are connecting or connecting during our workshops and trainings, give them plenty of room for their 'stage' (whether solo or with others). If you want to watch, stay a reasonable distance away and don't be intrusive. In particular, do not interrupt a scene to ask questions or touch people or their equipment (rope included).

Adhere to Consent

Obtaining consent is the responsibility of the person who initiated or will initiate the scene (ball) and can be renegotiated or canceled at any time. This means listening to each other, respecting each other, and being mindful of all our interactions. Obtaining and implementing explicit consent is an important step in creating the culture we want to live in. In this context, we support all our participants to discover shibari culture in a safe, exciting and consensual way.

Bride Without Alcohol

Consuming alcohol or any recreational substances is prohibited during all our trainings, practices and workshops. This may not only facilitate physical injuries, but may also disturb other participants around you.

Respect

Do not interrupt or interfere with a participant's question, statement, or ongoing statement. You will definitely have the opportunity to ask your question or express yourself. Keep this especially in mind, as it is necessary for clear and open communication.

If you are disturbed by a participant's attitude, warn them using non-violent language and communication within the framework of respect and ethics, and if they do not take your warning seriously, forward it to our security officer.

Constructing consent (manipulation, lying or untruths, etc.) to obtain consent from any person is not tolerated in any of our activities. In such cases, the participant is removed from the event area.

3) Party, Show and Performance Rules

During our parties; Intervening in the spaces of our performing artists during the show and performance is risky and dangerous. At ShibariTurkey events, spectators are prohibited from taking visual recordings (photos and videos) unless otherwise stated. Anyone who does not comply with this rule will be removed from the event by the officials.

Violation of another's body autonomy, violation of space, and any behavior without consent are grounds for removal. Anything other than yes means no!

During ShibariTurkey performances, be respectful to the performing artists. Activities such as dealing with anything that will distract their attention or demotivate them during their performance, making noise or excessive behavior, or talking on the phone are both objectionable and disrespectful to the artist.

4) Security

• Viewers are prohibited from taking photographs or videos of our performers or any event participants/audiences without any form of consent. If such a determination is made, those who do not comply with the rules will be removed from the event area.
• There is no one responsible for security at our events other than the ShibariTurkey security team.
• The entire ShibariTurkey team uses badges, and those with this card are ready to assist participants in every aspect.
• Before each performance, the audience is informed whether they can make visual recordings of that performance.
• People who purchase more than one ticket from our site for our events are responsible for bringing with them and reference persons. In case of any problems with these people, the person who purchased the ticket is considered as the interlocutor along with the people he/she is accompanying.
• In cases where the person who purchased the ticket cannot attend the event, one of the people who will attend the event must submit and update their information.

5) In Which Circumstances Your Participation Will Not Be Accepted?

Your participation may not be accepted in certain cases. These situations that we deem necessary for the safety of our other participants are stated below;

1. You have not shared anything that would give an idea about you on your social media accounts,
2. You have shared inappropriate content (phobic, sexist, racist, violent, belittling or attacking the beliefs of others, whose purpose is only sexual and targeting a group and audience) on your social media accounts,
3. Your social media accounts are very new and do not have any posts that can recognize and evaluate you,
4. You have provided an anonymous social media account,
5. Declaring that you do not have a social media account, but using and continuing to use the reference of someone from the community ( each individual in our community has their own private areas that they want to hide, and we respect this, but not sharing social media information would be disregarding the safety of our other community members. )
6. You have violated the rules described above in the events you attended.

In some cases where our organizer needs to contact you to verify your identity, it will be important that you have not provided your contact information correctly. Therefore, you must provide clear and complete information so that we can reach you.
