Tek İp (Ichinawa) Tekniği

Some debates have developed that this term is incorrectly used, and the correct one is said to be Ipponnawa (本縄). However, the accepted term by Japanese experts is ichinawa (縄). One of the strong references for the way the term is used is that H. Kinoko's rope club was called "Ichinawa Kai". Whatever its origin, the established and accepted form is ichinawa.

Ichinawa is actually one of the most basic forms of practice. It starts with a single column knot, only one rope is used in the tying and ends with a single friction by wrapping the body. An ichinawa scene does not consist of a single tying, the performer ties, unties and reties. All this without using a second rope and trying new things each time.

The Single Column knot is a starting point and can be started from a different point each time. The ankles, feet, waist etc. The body is brought to a different position each time and wrapped with rope and finished with a friction or knot.
