Yukimura Haruki

Yukimura Haruki is one of the few shibari artists in Japan to be considered a true “grandmaster.” Born in 1948, Haruki began working for SM Sniper in 1982, creating productions about SM and bondage. He started using the stage name Yukimura Haruki in 1986. He soon found himself one of the most prolific and in-demand rope artists in Tokyo's video scene. Throughout his career, Yukimura has created over 2000 videos.

His style is unique among all his contemporaries. He focused on communication with his partners, which often included elements of erotic sensuality. This style is also referred to as "aibunawa" or caressing rope by Yukimura Ryuu. Another distinctive aspect of his style was his use of shame play, "hazukashii".

In addition, Yukimura architectural elements Shibari He developed a style that integrated with it. Shibari She enriched the scenes with elements found in the environment (such as tables and chairs). She added interesting elements by using everyday household items.

He also shared his teachings with many students worldwide, especially towards the end of his life. He passed away in March 2016.
