Frequently Asked Questions

I have no experience with Shibari/Kinbaku, nor am I sure if I am suitable to connect with it.

No problem. Both inexperienced and experienced people can have this experience. We believe that letting go of control for a while in a safe environment, and exploring the edge of a new experience, should always be fun. That's why we prepare all the variables in the environment, such as the music, scent, and temperature, to make you feel comfortable. Beyond all this, we decide together what we can do to make this time as productive and enjoyable as possible for you. We understand the constructive power of clear and open communication and strive to utilize it.

We welcome people of all ages, religions, races, genders, and body types over the age of 18. The most important prerequisite is that you have positive motivation to do so.

The answer will vary greatly depending on who you ask! It also depends a lot on how and for what purpose the bond was formed, your mood, and how you were feeling that day.

Shibari Kinbaku, focusing on the touch of ropes and hands, can be much more than just a sensual and relaxing form of bondage. While its painful and intensely restrictive and static scenes may demand considerable endurance from the bound individual, it can also be performed purely for meditative purposes. Many people may experience the feeling of bondage—mentally, physically, or both!

When it comes to suspension, there will be at least some physical intensity and even pain! However, the sensations and other perceptions are very different when it's painful.

Unlike some Western forms of bondage made with soft ropes (nylon-cotton), traditional Japanese bondage... Shibari In kinbaku art, the ropes are stiffer and tighter (jute), creating a certain feeling of tightness when under tension. However, when the knots are loosened, a great sense of relief is usually felt.

We begin with a half-hour tea/coffee chat where we discuss past traumas, limitations, risks, and expectations. We control our nervous and muscular systems in the face of risks, and then together we decide on the form we will use and calculate the stage time. If you have a playlist you want played during the performance, or any objects you want/don't have in the environment, we will also discuss and decide on these through negotiation.

It usually takes 2-3 hours. Since we can't predict how long the initial stages – such as setting limits and explaining risks – will take, this time can vary depending on how satisfied the parties are and how many of their questions are answered. We also consider it important that this time serves as an icebreaker.

The connection phase can last between 30-60 minutes, depending on energy and natural processes. While a longer duration doesn't necessarily mean a more satisfying performance, we aim for a deep and unique experience within the defined limits.

The final stage is aftercare, which includes a hug or a relaxation phase to help you feel better. This is also a space to share your experience and how you feel.

Sometimes people may find it difficult to detach themselves from their experiences for a while and may feel intense emotions. During this process, we will be there to support you with information and guidance on the necessary mental processes to follow.
